Eight months to go!

Looks like everyone here is getting married June 28! What have you done so far? What do you have left to do?

I have booked the location, the caterer, the cake lady (all the same, lol), the officiant and the photographer. I have my dress and I've been emailing people about mantillas. I've decided that my centerpieces will be mason jars filled with aqua water and tied with thick ivory paper ribbon. I'm going to put red gerberas and ivory roses in them. I still need to find a dj and decide on invitations.

It sounds like you have everything under control

To answer your question... I NEEDA DJ!!!!!! I have called 4 DJs and all but one is already booked... and the one tht wasn't booked kept me on the phone for 2 HOURS telling me how to do everything for my wedding right down to when I should send out the STD (without even ASKING me any details about what I had already done)... seriously dude, I need a DJ, not a wedding planner!!!!

Besides that, I think I have pretty much everything:
my dress ordered
BM dress design picked out & fabric bought (need to confirm with seamstress)
venue (ceremony & reception)
officiant (my aunt)
pre-marital counseling started
caterer (need to send deposit)
photographer
cake (have baker - but still need to place order)
musicians
decorations (picked out - need to order & assemble)
ceremony is written
STDs are put together & in the process of mailing
website is up (need to finish)
we've registered at 3 stores
invites are typed up (need to be printed)
programs are typed up (need to be printed)
engagement announcement has been sent to the paper

I still need to call about rentals (tent, tables & chairs), but I know who I am using.

I'm realy hoping to have all the "big" things ironed out by Christmas so I can start focusing on the littel details and have time to address any big issues that come up.
