Default Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties!

Ok...I have noticed some of you call the bachelorette party a Hen Night or something like that. I have never heard that term. So it got me wondering what all terms are used for this Girls Night Out event.

We say Bachelor and Bachelorette parties...what do you call it?

Oh and I had mine last Sunday. We had lunch...went to Nordstrom's to buy some "girlie" things for the wedding night...then hung out at my apartment and then went to the comedy club where my SIL's brother was headlining. He picked on me a lot from the stage...it's all good...I'll get him back!

A Hen Night is actually any girls night out- British term. My family are all in the UK and they use that all the time.

I usally refer to the groom's as Stag night and the bride's as a bachelorette party.

P.S.- 2 days till your wedding!!!!! OMG!!! How exciting!!!!

It was probably me causing the confusion!

We have hen nights and the guys have stag nights. (I'm not sure why but we tend to refer to them as 'nights' or 'dos' rather than parties!)

Claire: That may be an English thing, up here we only use it for the pre-wedding night out... Otherwise it's just a girlly night!

We never have showers or bachelorette parties or bachelor parties..
