Hello,
Well, if you are looking for something for every day, mineral foundations can be quick and easy. If you are looking to use this on your wedding day I have a couple of "words of advice" for you.

In mineral foundation, there are naturally occurring minerals, and they have a "natural sunscreen" quality. This means that they reflect light, even the flash from a camera. Because of this, I usually tell brides to stay away from mineral foundations for the Big Day.
However, the choice is ultimately up to you. If you prefer to use a mineral foundation, try it out at home with a digital camera and see how it comes out. If it looks alright at home, chances are it will look good on the day of with professional camera equipment. Best of luck, and I'm sure others will have thier advice to add as well

I think many of the ladies on here use/have used mineral foundations. I had my makeup professionally done for my wedding and she used mineral makeup. I LOVED it. It looked great, lasted great, felt great (I usually wear almost no makeup) and the photos came out wonderfully.

ETA: The makeup artist did suggest I blot with tissue if I noticed I was too shiny, but I don't remember if I ever did. I never went to the bathroom, and that would have been the only place I'd have noticed, I think.

I use mineral makeup every day (that bare ecentuals stuff, not working for them, get nothing from them) and I really like it - especially becuase my skin tends to be real oily. However, I noticed that when I have pictures taken with it on I am more shiny than if I had used my regular powder makeup, but I look more natural....not sure if that made sense...lol

I also have oily skin and I just bought some mineral makeup from Target for $11. I can't remember who it's made by, but it works!

love the mineral makeup but one thing I notice tha I am going to have to be aware of is the conceler. Under my eyes it shows up really white in pictures. Is it because of the reflectants?

Yup!
It is the natural sunscreens that when are concentrated in an area, tend to reflect very white. Mineral foundation can work if you use a shade or two darker than your normal coloring...however in "real life" it might look funny Just practice with it, seeing how it comes out when you apply alot, or just a little, etc. Depending on how much of the natural minerals are in the mineral makeup will determine how light they will read on film as well.
