So I went to the "famiously" known bridal salon *cough* DB *cough* for my bridesmaid dresses because it's the only place within 20-30 minutes of me that carries a variety of options for my girls. So we went on September 22 and shopped, they all loved one dress ( I told them they could pick whatever style the wanted as long as they were the same color and floor length) and decided that since it was on sale they'd buy it then and there. Got the order in for all 4 and they said they would be in around November 7th. A good 2 months from order date. I figured...sounds good. I get a call from DB today saying my crinoline skirt and all bridesmaid dresses are in!!!

Uhhh...we're talking less than 2 weeks here. For DB that shocks me and makes me nervous. I'm crossing my fingers that everything is the right dress color, size because we all know the reputation DB has. I so don't feel like dealing with a huge mess...so please keep your fingers crossed that when I go and pick them up this weekend they are all right!

Hopefully you've got one of the "good" DBs!

But hey, even if everything is wrong with the order, you've got plenty of time for them to straighten it out!

Actually this might make you feel a little better. Both My FSIL, and the other BM who ordered their dresses last month already got them in!! FSIL's dress was perfect, and the other BM picks hers up today... I guess they just aren't that busy right now, because that was nowhere near the date they told us either. But seriously it was only 2 WEEKS with both girls!!

That makes me feel a little better !! I just know the reputation they have! LOL. I know it's kind of their "off" season i'm just hoping I don't have to deal with too much trouble. We're getting them altered somewhere other than DB (I've heard one to many of those stories to care to even consider going there) so this will be the last experience I have with them!

Actually we are getting the BM dresses altered somewhere else also. 1st and primary reason is they are outrageously priced!! Plus we have 2 really great and really reasonable seamstresses (sp?) here in my hometown. But I will say I had them alter my wedding dress! And everything turned out great!

Keep your head up and remember there is still plenty of time to fix any minor bumps in the road
