There was an article about this in the paper a while back, I thought it was such a cute idea, extra memories!

The photos are really cute but I don't think I could do that to my dress! I love it and I look forward to my daughter wearing it (if she wants to!).
But I do really like your photos and to each his/her own KWIM?

Yeah, I know everyone feels differently about their dress. My SIL still takes hers out sometimes just to look at it. I just wanted it out of my closet

I've never heard of that! I love these photos - and I have very few of me in my dress that I really love... I talked on here about having some more photos done by a friend, but I'm not sure I can fit into my dress. I was a size 2 on my wedding day, not so much anymore, lol. (Which I'm happy about by the way. It was work-stress that got me there, not wedding-stress.)

I don't think I could do it either, but it looks like you had fun doing that shoot!
And I do love that pic of you can your DH on the beach... you could've had that as a real wedding picture!

I'd never heard of that either, but it sounds fun! I had a hard time deciding what to do with my dress after the wedding, but I just couldn't give it away, so I ended up preserving it... Now watch, I'll have all boy children!!
Those pictures are really nice - they would practically be your wedding pics. You're so beautiful!!!

I told DH about this last night....and he didn't seem to give me any thoughts one way or another. Lol. Maybe if I were actually going to do it...
I like the idea, I really do...still not sure how I'd feel about "trashing" my dress though. Might have to do some research and see if any photographers around here are doing that.

One more reason not to keep your dress--all boys.
Thanks for the compliments!

Yeah that's how my DH was too. He's not big on pictures to begin with. I don't know if I would have paid for it but I've read that some photographers are starting to include it in their packages.
You also don't have to 'trash' it. I've seen some where you know the dress can't be salvaged (rolling around in the ocean, anyone?) but mine just needed a dry clean afterwards. Although I really wish I had dunked completely into the creek. It was so fun!!

Great pics! You look so beautiful - did you have your hair and makeup done again??
There is no way I could do that to my dress cause it was my Mums and I hope one day my Daughter will wear it. Although I could use the dress I wore at our Registry wedding, I didnt really like the dress and I only paid £9 for it, my only problem is that its in NZ!

Thanks!! A friend did my hair (it was much curlier before I got there, it all fell out!) and I did my own makeup. I definitely wouldn't have paid to get it done since I was sort of doing it as a favor. Although I like having the pictures!
Oh wow your Mom's dress is beautiful. (if that's the one you have pictures of from your NZ wedding).
