Default One a day Pill

The only rings on my hand are real. None of them are cheap just because when I have ever wore some thing fake my fingers would turn colors. Well in the past 2 months my fingers have turned dark when I wear my rings. People keep saying that when u have low iron thats what happens. Any one know if this is true? I purchased One a day pills yesterday and I can't see where it would hurt by taken these. Any one have any suggestions?

I have no idea at all... sorry!

The only time anything like that has happened to me is when my silver thumb ring sot a bit tarnished and left marks on my skin when I rubbed it against me face accidentally... I only found out coz I saw in the mirror that I had big streaky macks on my cheek and was thinking 'what the hell???'

My gold does that to my face sometimes when I have make up on. I have had this happen b-4 but it always seem to go away. But it's been going on every day for over 2 months. I am going to see the doc in a little over a week but if i can fix it b-4 he wants to do test it will save me some money. Blood test are high when u don't have insurance.

yep, I've heard the same thing about the low iron. Vitamins are an excellent idea.

I know my rings are 14kt or 18 kt, but every now and then, when I am really stressed, I will notice a black smear on my fingers. My watch has a stainless steel back, but when I wore my gold one, the same thing would happen a few times a year. For a while it was so bad I had to paint the inside of my rings with clear nail polish.

One dermatologist told me that stress causes certain chemicals to be released by the body (which is why some stressed people have funny smelling perspiration) and the chemical can have a reaction with the alloys used to make gold hard enough to hold its shape (as a ring). Another one also told me that sometimes the ingredients in hand lotions or cosmetics will do the same thing.

I don't know how true this is, but I have also heard that the way your body reacts to different metals has something to do with your systems pH balance.

I'm going to keep taken the one a day and if it don't go away I'll talk to the doc about it. It just drives me crazy when people look at my ring and see black. I have been stressed a lot so that could be it...

This happens to me........except my band (14K) of my e-ring turns purple not my hand. It does not affect my wedding band (10K).
