Default Ivory, Gold & Latte/Mocha/Cappucino arrrgh!

WHY are there like a dozen different names for the browns that are so popular right now? I know the color I want...its just that EVERY web site I go to calls it something different! At first I was telling everyone "mocha" because I thought that was it. But then I see "cappucino" and its the same $%%@! color..then "latte"...the list goes on.

Anyone else have this problem of trying to find the right NAME to call the color you want to use? The ivory and gold part was easy. Its actually going to be Ivory & Mocha/latte/cappucino with Gold accents.

My SIL had her wedding last month and her colors where Ivory, Mocha with a Red accent. So i know what you mean, fabric to flowers and such. I really think if you order the shade closest to it, you cannot even notice or use a contrasting color and you wont have to worry about it. But i am not quite sure what you are asking. ..

Oh, heck, I dunno. I think it was just a general *itch about the fact that I don't know which name to call it when I'm trying to specifiy it to people. I just wish there was something to go by since I've seen the very same color called by three or four different names. I'm just frustrated by it. But I'll live.

Honestly, I have a mental image of a color that's pretty similar no matter which of those names you use. People are going to know basically what you mean, so use whichever one appeals most. If you're talking to a vendor who happens to have shades of brown that are different...one mocha, one latte, for instance, that aren't the same...you'll just need to ask for samples to make sure they know exactly which one you mean. But if you just mean what to tell your girlfriends when they ask your colors...just pick one! They'll get it.

My wedding colors are champagne and latte so I know exactly where you're coming from! I've found that most people can imagine "latte" though. It's a very pretty color!
