Default Help! Do these colors go together?

I have an awful eye for color and what looks good together. I was originally thinking of dark red (almost crimson) and aqua/pale blue. Now I like the idea of the dark red with laveder. It's a summer wedding; will this work? I want red gerbera daisies and lavender roses, but I can't picture how they'd look together. Any other suggestions for a summer wedding? Thanks.

Do a search in this area for "color wheel". You'll have to sift through some posts, but someone posted a site that shows/lists corresponding colors.

I actually saw an episode of "Platinum Weddings" with this color combo, and somehow it worked.

They used a Tiffany Blue and white as the main colors, with accents of a rich red and red roses for the flowers. Since the red was an accent and not the dominant color, it worked really well... had a very fresh look to it. So it can be done...

I had a friend that used aqua and red....grey was an accent color...it was very pretty and unique....but so "them".....

I'm not sure I would like the red and lavender together...but that is just me...

*I think I saw on the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings the red and aqua color palette (it may have been last month, though)
