Default lets hear about your rings!

I would love to hear about everyones engagment rings (and wedding rings if you've already tied the knot) my ring is white gold, center diamond is 1 ct. Princess cut with 4 small round diamonds on each side. We haven't gotten weding rings yet but we really like the look of a band with round diamonds in it to match the band of the engagement ring. He will also have some bling in his ring too. He picked it out all by himself and got it perfect. I love it. All he knew is that I don't like yellow gold or round diamonds.

This is what my ring looks like:

We haven't gotten the wedding band yet... when we do, I want the one where all the stones are the same size. I don't like the 3 larger ones in the center.

Oh... mine's yellow gold, too.

This is my ring. Center stone is just over a carat and there's about another 3/4 of a carat around the stone, on the band, and on the sides (high setting with a V of diamonds on both sides).

Is most like mine. Mine is yellow gold and has 4 prongs. The shoulders are white gold though.

Here's a terrible picture of it

Thanks Margie. Can you believe that he did it all by himself!? I was totally impressed. The 2 side stones are colored sapphires in our birthstones (becuase I guess our birthstones are very soft & would scratch easily)

I don't know if I'll ever actually get a ring or if we'll just do bands...because, you know, we're young and even when our careers are up and running, cops and pastors aren't exactly rolling in the dough...but I love looking at everyones! *Sigh*

FH wouldn't let me do that!

Here's a pic of my wedding band:

My engagement ring is a princess cut 1/2 ct.

I LOVE my rings. They are so ME!

My rings are certified

I would go with something obnoxiously huge and shiny and fake! LOL

Ann... can you check with other jewelers? They didn't think they'd be able to make my ring a size 5 and it turned out perfectly.

For now, I'd go with the idea of something ridiculously huge and fake... just for fun!

Sorry honey, I could have worded that much better I *love* your ring! I just didn't know when I got mine that black diamonds existed! I didn't mean to imply yours wasn't real. But they are less popular than normal diamonds so are more affordable... I love all the black ones I've seen since!

Our rings:

My rings individually

(wedding)

His Ring:

I really liked that my wedding band and his both had 5 stones. So, even though they are very different, there is a similarity in them.

My e-ring. Its a 1 ct. princess cut diamond with 1 c.t.w. of princess cut diamonds channel set around it. My wedding ring will just be channel set princess cut diamonds. I'm too lazy to look for a picture right now.

Here's my ring-

It's 1/2 ct. total I believe. It's actually a set, if you look closely, you can see the band that is underneath it. However, I'm beginning to think that I wouldn't mind having a more noticeable band. I'm kinda looking into that, just glancing at stores here and there. Might save that for an anniversary or something. But I like it. (Well, I should, I picked it out myself. Lol) FH's will come from Wal-Mart probably, he's not even sure he'll wear it all the time. His will be simple though, he just wants a plain band.

This is my engagement ring. The wedding band is either plain or going to have a few small diamonds.

Oh, Ann. That sucks about your ring! Could you put the diamond in a cheaper setting rather than trying to remake the beautiful one you had? As for the fake diamonds in the meantime, go for it! My coworker ended up losing the diamind from her ring so she had it replaced with a fake one. You wouldn't know the difference. She says it's almost TOO "perfect" that it looks almost bluish--which I could see a bit. But just to the casual observer it looks like a diamond.

It is a marquise. I love it. I kinda got to pick it out. Matt and I were looking at engagement rings one night and I mentioned that I thought it was beautiful and then about 2 weeks it was on my finger.

I posted my ring somewhere else but will post here too......

as far as wt, I have no idea (I was told and forgot), I don't bother with stuff like that. Everyone when I take it to get it cleaned is amazed at it's uniqueness though and always comment on it when they haven't seen it before. I love the ring!

We tried wide wedding bands and diamond wedding bands but I have short fingers so they all looked funny and the wedding bands we looked at with diamonds just didn't sparkle like the e ring. So we went with plain gold with the little ridge thingy around the outside.
